Junior Soccer Match

Winter Recreation League

Program competes in the Bill Meyer League (BML) of CalNorth CYSA - District 8. The program is for boys and girls in the U8 through U14 age groups. BML is a unique playing experience that provides recreational players the opportunity to participate and play semi-competitively.

Play in BML provides recreation league soccer players the experience to travel to other cities. They get to play against opponents they have not seen all season, the travel is new, the opponents are new, and it brings a new level of excitement. This is to encourage the recreational player to continue playing, and taking them toward a future of their choosing for soccer play.

Basic Requirements

1. Player must have played on a fall recreation league team in the same year.

2. All players must tryout to make the team.

* There is no registration fee until the player makes the team.

The Winter League is a next level recreational playing opportunity for young aspiring soccer athletes. All players will participate in a tryout and face the challenge of tough competition to add to their experience.

Timing for this league typically begins with tryouts in early-November, first practice around the first week of December, first soccer match begin first week of January (12 matches scheduled at two per Saturday), and season ends with a tournament late-February/early-March.
